Daniel Dean Morris II was born in the Midwest and now resides in the beautiful state of Washington. Daniel has three wonderful children, but has spent most of his adult life in and out of the judicial system. It wasn't until his last incarceration and losing his daughter, Kaylee, to the dependency system that he turned his life around.
Daniel worked with two close friends to create the Amazing Kaylee series, inspired by his love for his daughter.
Although she is a human and not a unicorn, Daniel's daughter Kaylee shares many of the same qualities as Kaylee in the books. Both Kaylee’s are friendly, full of joy, and very social, positively influencing everybody they meet!
In addition to writing the Amazing Kaylee series, Daniel is also an ardent advocate for incarcerated parents, as well as parents with children in the dependency system. He helps out with area non-profits which strive to help parents who are in a situation similar to his, and has been helping others through the nonprofit for several years now.
Daniel hopes the Amazing Kaylee series will encourage you and your little one to explore and enjoy the world around you with a zest for life, just like Kaylee has (both the human and the unicorn).
